"I think we were bad luck when we were staying in Luzern,it was raining for several days.So we heard the rains dropping on the roof everyday and night since the apartment was on the top floor and the ceiling was not made of brick/thick enough?It was quite noisy anyway. We wanted to wash our clothes at the first night and the house keeper told us we could use the key to turn on the washing machine that was at the basement.He leaded us to the basement and showed us how to use before he left.Then we took the dirty clothes and put them into two washing machine.We tried many,many and many times to put the key on the button,and it worked for 1-2 mins every time. Then I went to the freezing street to use the pay phone to call and asked him what happened to the machine.But the only thing he could do was coming to take a look the other day...I couldn't take out the clothes since all of them were wet and the door of the washing machine was locked automatically........Finally,I found the neighbours to help us.The fact was the key was without any money,the house keeper didn't know the key need to be loaded up.So we paid to the neighbours for turning on the washing machine and dryer(the neighbour came to the basement twice at nearly midnight).And the house keeper said he would load it up (it was useless for us since we washed already) and gave us back the money(but he didn't). And the internet didn't work at the second day,even he came to arrange the new internet service at the third day.But I have to spend mobile phone money for let him know the internet problem and contacting my friend,I had supposed I could use free internet when I stayed in the apartment. I hate to waste my time to fix the washing machine problem and internet service.I thought I should enjoy the apartment but it wasn't true. The positive thing was the house keeper who was nice and helpful.The apartment was clean but there was not enough lightings at night time.There were only 2 chairs,the mattress was on the floor and too low for us to sit on it.There were some guide books and maps that were useful in the apartment.The kitchen and coffee maker functioned well."

"really quite a great place close to everything in Lucerne. Wish there was a chair to sit in and read and another light, but the bed was good, the kitchen and bathroom modern and clean, and Guido very helpful and picked us up from the train station"

"The apartment was indeed charming. It was nice to have the terrace with a little mountain view although it looks out to other buildings and so was not very private. The apartment was clean and well kept. The furniture and appliances were simple, elegant and adequate. It was particularly nice to have a mini hifi system and access to the CNN channel among many other channels on the TV. The wireless internet connection had consistent and strong signals. The apartment is conveniently located from the train station, supermarkets, bakery, restaurants, bus stations, etc. Overall the apartment was comfortable and convenient."

Location, nice and simple furniture and appliances, cleanness. Availability and helpfulness of Guido. It was helpful of him to answer my questions and bring the extra towels and summer duvet I needed. |

The air freshner in the apartment may have worked well with others, but I don't like air freshners in general, so I put it on the floor of the terrace so it was out of the way. Also on the floor of the terrace was an ash tray with a partially consumed cigarette. This should have been removed in the cleaning prior to the guest's arrival. I did not ask about the laundry facilities during check-in but it would have been helpful if Guido had informed me about this then. The bedding smelled of a strong scent from the laundry detergent. Again this may work well with some guests but not with me. |

It was fine in the summer, although it got a bit hot especially since the apartment is on the top floor of the building. If it gets really hot it would need a fan or A/C.

"Guido, our landlord was wonderful. He was so helpful and willing to accomodate us in every way...we had a problem with the washing machine and he came immediately to sort it out. He helped us carry our bags...which were heavy and also dropped us off at the Railway station on the day of our departure. He was just a really nice and decent guy. We would definitely recommend the location and apartment to our friends and if we were to return we would love to stay there again. The location away from the touristy area was just perfect for us...we got to see so much more of Lucerne than we would have if we stayed in the lake area. we would never have come to this side of town but staying here we had to go to the lakeside."

The terrace of our apartment. It was large and gave us a feeling of space even though the apartment was small. I also got hooken on Nespresso thanks to the Nespresso machine and the generous stock of capsules provided. Infact, I ended up buying one for myself!! |

Die Einrichtung war zweckmäßig und gemütlich. |

Die Parksituation vor dem Haus war schlecht und hätte bei der Beschreibung mitgeteilt werden müssen.
Leider war die Terrasse nicht überdacht und bei Regen konnte man nicht raus. |
