BeauSoleil
BeauSoleil offers 2 self-catering rooms and a self-catering flat in elegant, one of a kind, Cape Dutch House located in the South African wine country region. BeauSoleil is beautifully situated between enchanting vineyards, in a safe environment, and all restaurants for breakfast / lunch / dinner as well as all supermarkets are within a range of 500m. Nestled by the serene Breede River, centrally located as an ideal starting point for daytrips to Western Cape attractions as well as a great place for rest and relaxation. You will enjoy an extremely tranquil stay, away from the hustle and bustle of the City. The mainhouse is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque parts of town. Surrounded by vineyards and a beautifully manicured terrace garden. Enjoy the peaceful country atmosphere! We create a relaxed informal atmosphere. Breakfast may be provided if desired. A house service is always ready. Discounts are available for children under 12. For more information and pictures please use the following link: http://www.beausoleil.at Adjacent to the estate and visible from the house is the picturesque Breede River. This amazing place awaits you there. The fortified three level embankment is a great place for paddling, fishing, braaing (grilling), relaxing, bird watching and admiring the unforgettable South African sunsets. We accomodate individual needs! Surrounded by the Langeberg Mountain Range in the north-east, and the Riviersonderend Mountains in the south-west, it is one of the most beautifully situated towns in the Western Cape. The town is situated approximately 180 km East of Capetown and 100 km from Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of the African continent. The village is ideally situated on the legendary Route 62, winding through the Breede River Valley, halfway between Cape Town, Knysna and the Garden Route. BeauSoleil is a working wine grape farm in the picturesque valley of Breede with its majestic Langeberg mountains (snow-capped in winter). Of course, Bonnievale's main attraction cannot go unmentioned for long, which is why a note of the area’s magnificent wine estates must be made. A wine taster’s paradise, it has been said, can be found no further than the many wine cellars dotted throughout the valley. Setting out upon discovering said paradise can be an arduous journey, especially if your base of exploration is many a kilometre away. It is with this in mind that BeausSoleil Guest House is pleased to announce that near to no other place of stay can boast such a close proximity to the R317 wine route. In fact, locating one of these wine cellars is small matter of a walk to the nearest neighbouring estate, which also conveniently doubles as the next-door café and restaurant. Bonnievale, also known as The Valley of Cheese and Wine, is situated on the banks of the Breede River. Surrounded by the Langeberg Mountain Range in the north-east, and the Riviersonderend mountains in the south-west, it is one of the most beautifully situated towns in the Western Cape. The town is approximately 180km from Cape Town and 100km from the southernmost tip of Africa at Cape Agulhas. The Robertson Wine Route, which includes all the wine cellars in the Bonnievale area, has in recent years won great acclaim in South Africa and around the world, for the production of outstanding white and red wines. There are two cheese factories in Bonnievale: Parmalat and Mooivallei Suiwel. Parmalat processes cheese, butter, milk, and whey powder. Parmalat's Bon Blanc (white cheddar) was crowned Dairy Product of the Year at the National Dairy Awards. All milk received from Parmalat's milk producers is tested and analysed every single day before it is pasteurised or processed. The Bactoscan (the only one in Africa) tests total bacteria counts, while other sophisticated equipment tests for antibiotics, any additives including water content, as well as protein and butterfat. Proof of Parmalat's awareness of hygiene and quality is the fact that the Bonnievale factory was the first factory outside South East Asia to receive the 20 Keys Bronze Award for extremely effective and efficient systems. Here in Bonnievale is accommodation for everyone's needs in this beautiful valley - from luxury accommodation to camping. With the river and mountains - what more do you need for a glorious, relaxing break, away from the stresses and strains of modern living? There is great variety of activities for visitors in the area: wine tasting at the several cellars for the wine enthusiast, hiking, 4x4 trails, golfing, fishing, canoeing, a trip on The Breede River Goose, bird watching and most of all - just relaxing, breathing fresh air and enjoying the hospitality of Bonnievale and its people!
