Legden, lies regional very nicely on the lock tours-route. From here you can walk, ride a bike (wheels can be rented at the place) or fish (2 hinge lakes nearby). To Enschede (NL) these are approx. 25 kms where on Saturdays and on Tuesdays always a big market takes place.
To the party celebrate one is at 10 minutes in the village-Münster land in Legden - experience catering trade.
The bird's park Metelner moor, in mead elk offers nature purely.
For interested animal lovers the zoo in Münster or in Rheine offers the desired relaxation. Also the zoo in home Arnheim is a worth seeing attraction.
Other attractions, full tension for Largely and Small offer the leisure parks close to Enschede in the German Dutch border. The leisure park castle Baker in Bottrop-Kirchhellen/Feldhausen is glad about the visit from young and old.
For Hollywood eager Movie World offers the special Ferienspaß in Bottrop-Kirchhellen (half an hour running time).

Location description:

Legden is a small rural municipality in the Münster land near the Dutch border. Legden has been also confessed as the dahlia village of the Münster land. The Dahlien-Kinder-Blumenkorso by numerous splendid motive cars draws all three years on 3 September Sunday and accompanies from several bands ten thousands of visitors from Near and Far. Annually on the last Monday in August and on the preceding week-end the sombre mills market - a gigantic cattle and junk market - is a center of attraction for a huge number of visitors from the whole region. Here meets not only the rural population of the Münster land, but meanwhile prospective customers from the neighboring Netherlands and the Ruhr area also count to the market visitors. |
