Urlaub in der Champagne
Die Champagne liegt im Norden von Frankreich. Sie erstreckt sich von der Ile-de-France bis hin zur Meuse (Maas) und grenzt an die Picardie, an Burgund, Franche-Comté und Lothringen. Neben ihrer Landeshauptstadt Châlon-en-Champagne sind ihre wichtigsten Städte Reynel, Troyes und Prauthoy. Aber auch die historischen Städte Reims und Épernay, die maßgeblich den Namen der Region mitgestaltet haben, erfreuen ihre Besucher durch interessante, wechselhafte Geschichte, interessante Sakralbaukunst und ihren weltberühmten Champagne.
Ihren Namen „Champagne“ geht weitgehend auf die Landschaft zurück und stammt vom lateinischen Wort „campania“. Es bedeutet soviel wie „flaches, bebautes Land“, so dass die Bewohner der Region die kleinste Erhöhung in der Landschaft als Berg bezeichnen.

The house has a rustic surrounding and within a small distance from the lovely village Alba la Romaine (7 km) which stands on the list of the most beautiful French towns. In the surrounding, you can take walks and make cultural trips to the 'Gorges de lArdèche' 30 km, the most beautiful village Vogue (canoe-sailing) 15km, the 'Aven dOrgnac' (caves) 50 km and the impressing Roman Pont du Gard within 1 hours drive. A wonderful holiday is guaranteed here!
