Location description:

Das Haus liegt in der Meehan Bay, eine Bucht des Ottawa Rivers, auf der Quebecer Seite. Der Fluss bildet die Grenze zu Ontario. Die Meehan Bay gehört zum Ort Sheenboro (135 Einwohner). Der Ortskern ist ca. 3 km von der Bucht entfernt. Es ist eine ruhige Gegend im Wald gelegen, wo ortsansässige Canadier ihre Wohn- oder Wochenendhäuser besitzen (weitläufige Bebauung). Das Grundstück mit Haus liegt direkt am Wasser und bietet alle Freizeitmöglichkeiten, die man an, im und auf dem Wasser betreiben kann. Im Fluss, der hier auf mehrere Kilometer durch Stromschnellen zu einem See gestaut ist, befinden sich viele kleine einsame Inseln, die man mit dem Kanu erreichen kann.
Die nächste einfache Einkaufsgelegenheit befindet sich in Chichester (ca 12 km von der Bucht entfernt). Die nächst größere Stadt, Pembroke, mit Einkaufs-Malls, Restaurants, Banken etc., ist ca. 45 km von der Meehan Bay entfernt. |
