A medieval Borgo in the Apennines.
The medieval hamlet of Fontanini is surrounded by chestnut trees. The hamlet is around 650 metres high in the Apennines. You can enjoy splendid views of the valley and the surrounding mountains from the hamlet. There are three holiday homes in the Borgo. They are Casa Forte, Casa del Podere and La Torre. They share a garden, BBQ and a private terrace. All holiday homes are furnished in a rustic, functional style. There is a delightful, open-air swimming pool 800 metres away. You can hire mountain bikes in Borgo Fontanini. There are many excellent walking routes in the area. Lovers of the regions dishes can enjoy cookery workshops in the Borgo. There are many traditional products available in the Emilia region such as Parma cheese and ham. You can enjoy interesting day trips to Dignola, Bologna, Modena, Reggio Emilia and Parma.
