The sleepy village of Ceglédpuszta lies in the southern part of Baranya about 13 km away from Szigetvár, next to a scenic lake. The lake`s size is about 160 ha and it`s well known for being an ideal fishing lake. There are 75 people living in the village which is a dead end street, therefore you can`t be bothered by passing traffic nor public transportation, at all. In 1992, we were the first german family to buy a house in Ceglédpuszta. A couple of years later some other houses were bought by foreigners. The surrounding is dominated by beautiful fields and forests. The inhabitants are well known for being hospitable and are looking forward to your return. If you are searching for harmony and a quiet area, our house might be the perfect place to be. The guesthouse is highly redecorated farm house. It contains two rooms, a living-room, bathroom with toilet. The living-room can also be arranged with extra beds. Of course, the usage of the garage in the 1ha sized garden is included. It`s also ideal for relaxing or several hobby activities such as camping or barbecueing. We offer equipment for the barbecue as well as sunlounges and garden furniture for free for our guests. There`s also a roofed swimming pool with a modern circulating pump. The kitchen in the guesthouse can be used for preparing simple meals, but there`s also the possibility to order half-board in the main house. You can choose between traditional hungarian or german dishes, venison or vegetarian meals. Up to three pets may join your trip for free, each additional is charged with 5 € a day. The garden is completely fenced and lockable, therefore the safety for your car is garanteed. There is W-LAN in the house as well as in the garden, so you can check your e-mail next to the swimming-pool. And now, some additional information concerning sights and interesting activities in the closer surrounding. First of all, there`s is the already mentioned fishing lake, which is perfectly reachable by walking. The forest of Delsomogyi and a Elisabeth of Bavaria memorial park can be visited by carriage. In-house production goat-cheese can be tried in (...), which is also perfect for enjoying the sunset in a detached house. There are two therapeutic baths in Szigetvár and Barcs which are, driven by car 15 minutes away. It takes just 30 minutes to get to Pécs, the capital of Baranya, where many cultural sights can be visited. Villány, famous for its prized wines lies just 70km away, the lake Balaton about 100km. If you tell us in advance, you can also go hunting in the forests near our house. Me and my wife are looking forward to welcome you here in southern Hungary.
