The name was given by two crags ('Korifes', Koryphäen) to be seen if Corfu is reached across the sea.

Aghios Matthaios is located on the western side of the island and is a typical village in Corfu. Through dense olive groves leads the road to the district Skidi, Prassoudi, Kanouli and Chalikounas. Our holiday accommodation is peaceful and idyllic, mostly in direct sea situation.
