Location description The house is situated beside the Danube and the village spreads on the foot of the Castle of Schönbühel. Behind lies the Convent of the Serviten, beautiful small church, which in the past could be reached from the river. Remarkable it the birth place which is built in the rocks, beneath the church by Rüdiger von Starhemberg according to exact drawings from the 17thcentury. Surrounded by the Forests of the "Dunkelsteiner Wald" which offers a lot of attractive excursions , cycling tours through the wine yards or walks or sightseing tours by ship or boat.
