Die französische Region Elsass liegt im Osten der Republik und zeichnet sich durch seine heimeligen Städtchen mit pittoresken Fachwerkhäusern aus. Darüber hinaus erleben Sie in diesem Land, das schon der Sonnenkönig Ludwig XIV. mit dem Ausruf „Welch ein schöner Garten“, eine unvergessliche Naturlandschaft. Inmitten dieser ländlichen Vielfalt stoßen Sie auf Wälder, Täler, Berge, Wiesen und Seen, welche nicht unterschiedlicher sein können.
Das Elsass grenzt im Südwesten an Franche-Cómte, im Westen an Lothringen, sowie an Deutschland und der Schweiz. Seine Gesamtfläche beläuft sich auf 8.280 Quadratkilometern, auf der rund 1,8 Millionen Elsässer leben. Angesichts dessen ist die Region im Hinblick auf ihrer Größe das kleinste Gebiet auf französischen Boden. In Zahlen ausgedrückt lässt sich dies wie folgt beschreiben: Das Elsass erstreckt sich in Nord-Süd-Ausdehnung auf einer Länge von 190 Kilometern und gerademal 50 Kilometern in der West-Ost-Ausdehnung.

Nature lovers and outdoor sports enthusiasts will thoroughly enjoy "Karibou" cottage, a pretty chalet with the scent of Scandinavian pine. Close to the chalet, some visitors will take advantage of the lakes and watch the fauna and flora or flush out a bird hidden in the reeds from a canoe, or simply just enjoy the beach or fishing. Others will take to their bikes on the nearby cycle tracks, and yet others will follow the Vosges Club footpaths and after an activity filled day, everyone will be able to relax at the Langatte well-being centre.
