The old, small and cosy village of Matrei with its medieval church is situated 35 km. south of Mittersill in a valley surrounded by high mountain tops. It lies directly within the Hohe Tauern National Park, the largest national park in the eastern alps. You can imagine the fantastic walking possibilities you have in this area. Only 4 km from Matrei lies the cosy hamlet of Feld, and here, in a sunny spot where you'll find the detached chalet Riepler. The former smithy, your wooden chalet is for sole occupancy, privacy guaranteed! The house has a very cosy atmosphere partly due to the use of wood in the interior. The beautiful staircase that rises to the 1st floor is 200 years old! The house is surrounded by a private garden with garden furniture and there is a nice terrace where you can also barbecue. All in all a wonderful chalet for an ideal holiday.

The house consists of six sleeping places but we consider the house suitable for five persons.
