Cheviot and Tweed Cottages in Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders, are two bedroom purpose built cottages which offer modern and comfortable accommodation. They are lie in several acres of private gardens and each cottage has commanding views across the historic conservation town of Jedburgh and the Cheviot Hills beyond which separate Scotland from England.
All the amenities of this delightful historic border town are very close by which include the ruins of an 11th century abbey, Mary Queen of Scot?s house and the Castle Jail. There is a range of proprietor owned shops, eating places, pubs, indoor swimming pool, tennis court, fitness centre and a Gateway Visitor Centre, all are just a short walk away, as well as a modern supermarket.
During spring and summer festivals and activities take place, like a big Jazz & Blues festival and the well known 14-day festival of Callant. Also, a big rugby-competition starts when the schools start their summer vacations.
The cottages are an ideal place to base your holiday and discover Edinburgh, Hadrian?s Wall and Holy Island which are all about 1 hour?s drive away on quiet roads. Take in the history and heritage of the region - visit castles, stately homes and many other visitor attractions. Enjoy the stunning countryside and rugged coastline of the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland.
You are also within reach of York to the south and the Scottish Highlands to the north.
