La-Bastide is located in a pretty hilly region (the department is not called Haute-Vienne by accident) surrounded by forests and pastures and only a 500 m walk away from the centre of the village Coussac Bonneval.
Haute Vienne belongs to the rich, rocky Limousin, with still untouched nature. It offers everything you need for a holiday. Winding rivers, valleys with wide forests, picturesque villages with friendly locals, beautiful cities with a Roman past, not forgetting the numerous lakes the Limousin has to offer.
When exploring the region you will meet many Limousin cows and you will cross various large rivers like the Vézere, which circles the fortified town of Uzerche.
Or the Correze river and its cities Brive and Tulle. Great cities to visit and there is a Saturday market in Brive. But a day trip to Rocamadour is recommended too. Or you could visit one of the splendid castles Pompadour, Coussac Bonneval, Hautefort and many others for example.
