Property description

The rustic Gimpi Hütte is a newly renovated "Troadkasten" from the 18th century in sunny and quiet position with marvellous view to the Danube cycle track Passau-Vienna. The Gimpi hut is situated right beside the house of the owners. In the ground floor are the shower and the WC (with separate outside access) as well as the comfortable kitchen with rustic room, equipped with E-stove, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker and toaster. In the upper floor, there is the bedroom for 4 persons which can only be reached by the outside stairs. The house is heated by gas heating and electric heating. Breakfast on inquiry possibly. To the village of Vichtenstein only about 800 m where you find bank, restaurant, village store, bus stop... You find the next food store as well as the next bakery and doctor in the village Engelhartszell, approx. 7 km from the hut, to Passau only 18 km, to Schärding 20 km.

- To the skiing area Haugstein only 3 km. 2 lifts, floodlight skiing, skating, curling, winter walking, tobogganing and cross-country skiing (30 km tracks of the Sauwaldloipen).

- Hiking tours directly from the hut, e.g. the "house mountain" of Vichtenstein, the Haugstein. The hut is the ideal starting point for bicycle tours on the Danube cycle track Passau-Vienna, rest and relaxation you will find on the sunbathing area in front of the house, surrounded by trees and flower meadows. Only 6 metres beside the hut there is the own fish pond. Other sports possibilities and holiday possibilities: Outdoor swimming pool in Engelhartszell (7 km), Danube-Höhenwanderweg, castle Vichtenstein, animal park, trout circus, excursions to Passau and Schärding, Linz, monastery Engelszell, tree top way Kopfing (10 km).
