Recently restaured, 17th-century watermill

This 17th-century watermill, recently restaured, is situated on the banks of the river Lozoya, about 1km from the public road. From the watermill, one can see the waterfall, a lake and a canal to swim in, and the view extends over to the surrounding mountains. The bottom of the canal has been firmed in certain parts and in summer a swimming-pool ladder gives children easy acces to the water. (depth 1.50m). The interior decoration is authentic, combining warmth and robust furnishing, typical for the Castillian style. A part from 6 adults, the mill can host four more children or two extra adults, since 2 of the bedrooms have mezzanines (acces by steep wooden stairs, upstairs ceiling height: 1.65m). This original and sympathetic holiday-house is located in the heart of the natural reservate of Sierra de Guadarrama (home of the rare imperial eagle, among others), while the cultural and historic centres are easily accessed, such as Madrid (73km., tip: park your car on the Plaza Castilla and take the metro towards the centre), Segovia (53km.), El Escorial (59km.), Pedraza (33km.) and Sepúlveda (55km.). Such an unusual and comfortable place in a great location is quite unique. Right by the mill, old walking paths take you to typical villages and through splendid nature. Even on week-ends or during holidays, you will enjoy absolute peace. You can do your daily shopping in Lozoya (5km.) and Buitrago de Lozoya (15km.) On demand, it's also possible to ret the entire accomodation, fitting 10 adults and 4 children on the mezzanines.
